Continued fall weather here...very cool days (60's) and 40 degree nights. I'll have to bring my patio plants in soon. Am in a rut as far as shooting goes. A couple of nice sunsets and a few trips to the Arboretum. I need to break out of the box. It's supposed to rain tomorrow. Maybe I'll get inspired..

Hi Susan, keeping momentum going once you get home can be difficult so here are some tips
ReplyDelete1. Look back through your notes
2. Research online Isobel Cunningham, Ansel Adams etc
3. Find your local supplier of lighting equipment and go visit them
4. Take out a subscription to a pro Photography journal
5. Make up a price list for your images
6. Browse through istock images and their terms and conditions to get a feel for what is required
7. Frame up some of your images and do a craft fair.
8. Find an event to photograph and post the images so that people can order them from you
Mostly remember you are much better than most other photographers, you have been trained well, you have the maturity to deal confidently and pleasantly with customers, and all you need to do it believe you can do it.
Kate, thanks for your words of wisdom..it was so much easier when our support was right at hand, wasn't it? I need to post my little "believe" sign closer to my computer. It's so true. What you believe will come true!
